These three sections may be used independently and may be used by different people, for different purposes, but all three are needed to understand the management of the nature reserve.
The Management Plan is intended:
- to commit the Local Management Committee and the Fen staff to a definite plan of action, based on the decisions of the Local Management Committee in consultation with the National Trust's Regional Office and Conservation Advisors and with English Nature.
- to provide a guide for staff carrying out management.
- to be a source of information on the extent and nature of the property, its flora and fauna, its history and the evolution of its management practices.
- to make clear the responsibilities of the National Trust, the Local Management Committee, the Local Advisory Panel and the Fen staff in carrying out the action decided upon.
